Walling Data Systems, a leading AVG distributor, has announced that it has been awarded a contract with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to sell the entire AVG security product line to U.S. federal government agencies. Luke Walling, president of Walling Data said “It opens up an entirely new sales channel and is a huge vote of confidence by the U.S. government that taxpayer dollars for government information security solutions will be well spent with Walling Data.”

Optus has recently launched a live video monitoring service for its SME and home user 3G mobile customers. The company’s new SecureCam service will allow around-the-clock access to video footage from private IP cameras on compatible 3G mobile handsets or via the Internet. Optus claims the service is easier and cheaper to set up and maintain than traditional security solutions.
